About

Cultivating Excellence

As founder of Oz HR Consulting LLC, April provides executive-level Human Resources consulting and employee relations support to organizations ranging from emerging series A through IPO to complex global enterprises. Services include workplace investigations, HR assessments, organizational development, leadership advisory, compliance, performance management, and operational HR support.

April spent a significant portion of her HR career in New York City and Stamford, CT before moving to Seattle’s Eastside. She is remote with U.S., Canadian and other global clients within most time zones.

Her approach is to assess, develop and quickly apply the right HR approach to her client’s unique DNA and needs. She understands the value of AI synergy that supports employee engagement and emerging compliance directives. Her clients represent high tech, energy, life sciences, retail, environmental, AI solutions and additional industries.

  • International HR readiness Model

  • An otherwise strong leadership team could benefit from a pragmatic HR perspective at the table

  • Investigations where an experienced neutral third-party is advantageous

  • Board relations support

  • Transitioning into the U.S. market or expanding globally

  • Investors are nudging accountability, people policies and org structures from series A through IPO and beyond

  • Requests for a comprehensive HR assessment of current state and recommendations

  • M&A activity is imminent

  • Manager capability training to strengthen success and development

  • Compensation review and design

  • Leadership team alignment

  • People engagement is down and culture needs a turnaround.

  • Startups who may be unsure where to begin or how to scale and they need an HR army-of-one to set up systems, handbook and processes.
